Possum Willy is a Minneapolis-based multi-instrumentalist, guitarist, and lifelong creative whose career spans more than 25 years of recording, performing, and exploring new musical worlds. He began playing guitar at 13, recorded his first album with a blues-rock band at 16 in 2000, and has since built a diverse catalog of original and collaborative work.
Under the name Possum Willy, he has released multiple albums and also performs with Twin Cities shoegaze band Paraphasia, indie trio The Culottes (with his wife), and metal cover band Chick Singer. He joined anime and J-pop cover band Zenbu-Ita in 2024, where he now brings his passion for anime, precision guitar work, and love of musical challenge to the stage.
A seasoned pit orchestra guitarist, Possum has played lead guitar for productions including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar, Grease!, All Shook Up, 9 to 5, and many more. In 2023, he also opened a warm-up show for Joe Bonamassa alongside his musical partner Mike Fugazzi
